The new Poet of London Town. Songwriter Dan Korn's guitar led folk, weaves enchanting melodies around exquisitely crafted lyrics.
Taking influence from the Delta Blues, Lou Reed, Dylan, Syd Barrett, CW Stoneking, Beirut, Thom Yorke and Laura Marling.
Dan's moving songs are "like a long sob laden with farewells".
After a childhood writing poetry and prose in a provincial town, Dan Korn came of age, taught himself guitar and dropped out. He was drawn to the big smoke of Old London Town where good times and hard times followed, many now formed in song. Cutting his teeth in London pubs Dan has become a respected performer, mixing angelic vocals with his bluesy guitar, all of it charged with energy.
Dan is currently playing on stage with 'The Choppy Waters'; Paul Michelmore (harmonica and banjo) and Joe Sharp (bass). They are looking forward to a busy year playing gigs and festivals across the country. Dan has a mass of new songs to record and is very keen to return to the studio as soon as possible.
