Jacobi are a five piece classic rock band based in Liverpool and formed in 2006. The band is made up of Kenny Stuart (vocals), Jose Ibanez (guitar), Jack Birch (guitar), Domin Buleto (bass) and Joe Gill (drums). Kenny, Jack and Joe hail from the outskirts of Liverpool with Jose (from Granada) and Domin (from Algeciras) bringing a Spanish flavour to the group. Jacobi draws its influences from Free, Peter Green, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, the Rolling Stones, The Stooges, Otis Redding and many more. Individually and collectively the band has a huge passion and desire for music and shares an extensive musical knowledge. Jacobi’s sound is undeniably and unapologetically heavily infused with a 70’s rock vibe whilst still sounding current and fresh. With a shared love of blues, the sound is the perfect balance of sleaze, soul, funk and rock, with heavy dirty riffs and throat-tearing vocals. Jacobi has a devoted following in its home town of Liverpool being a regular feature of all of the city’s most popular music venues and as a result of live performances fuelled by fresh, raw energy. The audiences at Jacobi’s gigs dance, thrust and rock out in equal measure and are always left asking for more. Fresh from recording their debut, self titled album at Liverpool’s legendary Parr Street Studios, Jacobi are excited to present to the world a recording which they feel so passionately about and so proud of – the culmination of years of hard work and determination.
Not a band to follow a scene, Jacobi stands apart from the crowd. In an industry filled with over-produced pop Jacobi is a breath of fresh air, bringing music back to its roots and playing with openness and honesty from the heart, the soul and the balls!
